Networking my PC with my PS3

Hi all,

I'm looking to hook up my PS3 to my wireless broadband router for online gaming, and to my PC to stream music & video wirelessly.

My set up is as follows;

PC running XP Home SP2
Buffalo Airstation WYR-G54 Cable Modem
Virgin Media 10M Cable Broadband connection (U.K.)

My PC is wired to the router, but due to it's location i'll need the PS3 to connect via WiFi. So far, my PS3 recognises the wireless router, but cannot obtain the IP. My PC doesn't seem to acknowledge the PS3 and i'm not sure how to add it to a network.

I dont have too much experience with networks or PS3's, though I have hooked up a laptop wirelessly using a PCMCIA card to this router, so I know it can be done.

Any help appreciated.

TIA

Re: Networking my PC with my PS3

I should add that i've never had a network card plugged into my PC and therefore never had it wirelessly connected to the router, is this something I need to do to configure the router?

Re: Networking my PC with my PS3

Check if DCHP is enable on your router and if your PS3 has an automatically IP.
