Multiple Routers, Multiple XBOX 360s
I hope this topic hasn't been covered already, but I didn't see anything that addressed my specific issue. This is kinda complicated, but I will try my best to make my problem clear.
Here's the deal: I have three XBOX 360's which I have connected to an XBOX Live-compatible router. This router is used only to connect the XBOX's, and it is connected to my primary router and the internet through a CAT5 cable. I am able to access the internet through both routers, so I know the connection is working. Basically, my XBOX router is acting as a branch of my primary network. All three of the XBOX's are able to connect to XBOX Live, and the NAT type even shows that it is "Open". Everything works as it should for a few minutes. However, after a matter of 5-10 minutes the connection to XBOX live is dropped. I can go back to XBOX dashboard and re-connect to Live, but the same thing happens over and over. It keeps dropping the connection to live, but still passes the connection tests and says the NAT is Open. My question is: How should I configure the port forwarding, subnets, DMZ host, or anything else I may not be aware of. In an attempt to clarify: I have a router connected to my DSL modem. This router is used to provide wireless internet to the computers in my house. It also has a wired connection to a second router, which is only used to provide internet access to my XBOX's. I need to know how I should configure each router to provide more reliable internet access to my XBOX's, since the connections is dropped continuously despite passing all connection tests and showing the NAT to be Open. Thanks JP |

Re: Multiple Routers, Multiple XBOX 360s
I don't think that port forwarding or DMZ is the solution here. The only thing that I can think of is an IP clash, make sure your router is able to identify each device. Though i'm not sure how to solve this problem, it seems complicated going through two routers.
