No picture shows on film/TV shows purchased on the Marketplace
I am, at this point, desperate. My current issue is I can't play downloaded film and TV shows.
No, scratch that, I can play them, and they SOUND great. No video though, just a black screen. I then have to reboot my xbox to get my dashboard back. I've called tech support 2-3 times and reset my video settings (hold Y and the right trigger at boot up with no disc in it) and cleared my cache 19 million times to no avail. I called their tech support and they're like " Uh... I guess you need to reformat your HDD". First issue: I don't have a memory card for it (and god forbid I use my 8 gig thumb drive ). I don't mind reformatting at all if I can back my stuff up. Second issue: If I DO reformat and spend the cash on a memory card and it doesn't work (which in all reality, after doing years of tech support I got the vibe the guy just wanted to bail on the call because he had no idea) I will be righteously upset. Odd thing: I can stream the XBOX News with no issues at all, and any game trailer/microsoft made clip I can stream/save/play with no issues. Also Odd: Sometimes (rarely... 1 out of 20 reboots) it WILL let me play a marketplace TV show/film. It won't do it twice in a row though. Please... someone tell me they can help me. |
