Hello everyone :)
I've come here today to ask a few questions. Now, I've decided that I would like to purchase a PS3 in order to play the upcoming Tomb Raider Underworld (Being a long time TR fan, I have to buy it :p ) This game comes on many platforms but my PC wouldnt be able to play it. The last resort being to buy a PS3 as the PS2 version looks really bad and I have no intention of even TRYING an Xbox 360. Well, my main TV isnt Widescreen/HD yadayada. So I've done some researching and I've found out I am able to connect a PS3 to a PC Monitor using a HDMI - DVI Cable. My screen is an LG FLATRON L194WT-SF. It is widescreen and has a DVI port at the back. My question is, Is this monitor compatible? My other question is, With the HDMI to DVI cable, I believe it ports the visual and audio side of things. Unfortunately, My PC Screen does not have inbuilt speakers. So, I've done some creative thinking. I actually use a Karaoke player as my PC Speakers. In the back of it, there are those In/Out Red and White cable holes. I was thinking, If I was to have the HDMI to DVI Connected, and also having the other PS3 Cable (You know, the one with the Red, White and Yellow plugs) plugged from my PS3 into my Karaoke Speakers at the same time. Would it work? Im not sure if the PS3 is compatible for having a HDMI output and AV output working at the same time. Thanks for any help :) Zac, EDIT. Thought I'd add this little 'paint' drawn diagram, incase anyone is confused about my question.
