OS: windows xp home sp3 / Linux Ubuntum

My System

ps3 and Logitech z-5500 very low dialog sound

I have being using the logitech z-5500 set for a while( since I bought the ps2) and now with the ps3 via digital optical. I have played many games that are dolby 5.1 including cd4, ghost recon and more, also movies. However When playing MGS4 and Haze in some dialog scenes I can not hear well the main carachters speaking through the center speaker but I can hear the other people yelling from the other speakers, because of that I have to put the subtitles on. I have only noticed it in games not in blu-ray movies or regular dvd. All volume controls for sub, surround and rear speakers are set to 2 sticks from maximum on the logitech z-5500. I checked all the wires for connections,Broken wires. also I have palyed with different audio config in the ps3 and nothing. any ideas are welcome thank you.
