Xbox Live Stopped Working

Just yesterday, I set up a cord going from my router to my xbox 360 and xbox live worked great until later that day. I assumed it might be a temporary thing so I waited until tomorrow and it still isn't working.

I tested a different cord to see if that would change anything, and it didn't. It says my problem is MTU on the connection test, but it doesn't say what to do about it. Help, please.

I also tried power-cycling (turn off, wait, turn back on) because it was recommended, but that also did nothing.

I'm having a similar problem. My Xbox Live has been working since March. I used it yesterday. Today I turned it on and I was unable to connect to LIVE. It says my MTU is the problem but doesnt give a solution. It has worked for months and i havent messed with my connection or plugged in anything new/unplugged anything.

Dont panic and you really should pay more attention to your emails and the dashboard

Live is down today for approx 24hrs for essential maint and updates. Prob the new dashboard stuff they were on about at E3

yeah but today which is the day it starts I was playing earlyer on & it suddenly stopped working at about 6:15 or around that

australian new south wales time i dont know if it startes at a certain time or somthing but if it doesent plz help

Yep same thing just happened to my system as well, saying mtu settings are wrong, but nothing has been changed or unplugged, Im guessing its a system maintenance thing, Ill wait till tomorrow :)

Yep, it is currently down for maintenence.

I just hope it doesn't run as long as the say it could. Since the Live message says "up to 24 hours". Lets hope it's sooner....than again it's not like I've really been playing online, mostly talking to people lol.
