5.1 speakers for xbox 360

ive been searching for answers for some questions for a couple of weeks now and im hopeful this place an answer them, because you guys are pretty knowledgeable in these things. im trying to hook up my xbox 360 to my 22 lcd computer monitor. i see the picture fine, but the problem is the sound. i have the 5.1 Logitech Z-5300e has my computer speakers and im using a sound card , the sound blaster X-if Xtreme. ive been reading over the net a bit and some people have suggested a Dual 1/8" Stereo Phone Audio Coupler or 3.5mm Stereo Splitter Audio Adapter to help me get sound. im very noob and my question is that where and what do i plugs these things in and will it only be 2.1 sound coming from the speakers? it would kinda suck if a i have a 5.1 setup and 2.1 sound coming from them. also, does my computer have on and act as a medium to get the sound thru? |
