Live chat on Xbox

Hello. I'm trying to get my son on xbox live. He can do a private chat with one person, but not a few others. We have investigated NAT status. He is STRICT. We are working to resolve that. However, the one person he's trying to talk to has OPEN, and he should be able to connect there. Any other suggestions?

hey

With my experience with xbox live you can only have a chat with one person at a time' But this fall there will be an expected update to chat with multiple online users.

He cannot chat with other other friends at all. Only his one. We just changed the router to OPEN NAT and that didn't help. There are no restrictions, mutes, or other blocks either.
