going to buy an xbox 360

Ok, a lot of Xbox exclusives are coming out on the PS3 now like Saint's Row and Bioshock but there are still a lot of great games that aren't and because of that i want to buy an xbox, but a used one. the ones at gamestop say they don't come with hard drives but they are needed for backwards compatability. so i'm not sure about what the hard drive is for. also it is a used system meaning most likely a live account has been made. can you delete and old account and make a new one? and how much/where can i find a hard drive if i need one?

If the ones that they are selling used do not come with the hard drive, you are probably just as good to get a new one. The hard drives are INSANELY expensive for the 360, compared to the price of the actual drive they put inside of it.

The hardrive is for backwards compatability, any Downloadable content (maps, etc). And any other media.

Your best bet would probably buy one of the bundles when they are on sale.

The 20GB premium 360 is going to be having a price drop as they (microsoft) are phasing it out.

If i was going to buy one 2nd hand i would make sure it was one of the latest models as the early ones broke down a lot and i would have to be the 360 elete with the 120Gb hard drive. It doest take to long to fill one up if you like playing and trying demoes, but you can delete them after you finish with them. Buying one a few mounth old can give you a great deal if u get a few games with it and an extra controler. With the elete version you also get a headphone mic, not sure if they come with other models.

I'm only going to use it for exclusives. everything else i'll be playing on my PS3.
