360 Problems after X-Clamp Fix

Question here:

Me and a friend applied the X-Clamp fix on my 360 and we re-assembled it.

Now we're having several issues with it.

And those are:

- The faceplate doesn't seem to fit right, when we fully put it on the power button is unable to be pressed, however if we put it on for 50% (meaning not completely stuck) it DOES work.

- Now my CD-Drive won't open anymore .. What the?!
- When pressed, and turned on, the Power button won't stop flickering. Other then that it's working just fine.

HELP

Re: 360 Problems after X-Clamp Fix

Your best bet would have been to have sent it to MS for repair. Now you're out a warranty and a console.

Re: 360 Problems after X-Clamp Fix

No lol.

The console is working just fine, just those 3 things. The flickering light is odd, but not causing any trouble.

And the 360 was already out of warranty so that wasn't exactly an option either :S

Re: 360 Problems after X-Clamp Fix

i've had thsi happen without even removing the xclamps. The problem is caused when ur repalcign the top cover, the edges of metal grounding case get bent and the xbox does not close properly. this also ocurs when the dvd drive isnt snug in its restign palce.
