Xbox 360 Live fails MTU test

I can't connect my Xbox 360 to Xbox Live because it fails the MTU test. I don't know why that is, especially since it worked fine the last time I tried it several months ago. (That was before a switch of modems - both similar models - and a change to my ISP password.)

What's really strange is I tested MTU on my PC and it looks fine. I don't have an exact number but it's around 1400. Definitely more than the 1364 Xbox Live requires.

I plug my Xbox straight into the Westell 6100e modem and disconnect my computer. No dice on Xbox Live.

Any ideas? My ISP is Verizon DSL, BTW....

Hi

I had this problem myself with my dsl internet provider. A cd comes with the internet modem and cables' you have to place the disk in the drive and apply your internet settings to your computer so it can apply the connection to other sources like your xbox 360 console. The setup is simple but if you have any questions just post back.
