and, lol, when i'm entering the ports. after PSN-port-port-prot when it says ip is that the comp or PS?

EDIT: I think it's the PS3's ip.

when it tells me to say which ip to forward too at teh end of opening a port, do i put my computer IP or ps3 ip?

PS3 I think. (Just type the PS3's ip into the box on the very top of the page, it'll fix the guide up for you

)

If it doesn't work, all you'll have to do is change the last number

Does port forwarding help reduce lagging on the PS3 online??? If not does anybody know how to reduce lagging playing online on the PS3??

Hi Jeff, welcome to TSF.

Wouldn't hurt to try port forwarding.

Lag depends on a lot of factors though, internet connection speed, location of the server, time of day, number of people on the server.
