Xbox 360 VGA HD AV Cable troubes.

Hey there, i've run into a problem using the 'Xbox 360 VGA HD AV Cable'.
I'm wanting to run the 360 through my PC monitor (LG 20" something or other - irrelevant), but the monitor does not have ports for the RCA (i think it's called) Red and White wires, so my friend let me borrow a stereo adapted i believe it's called so i could connect the red and white wires to the adapter, then plug the adapter into my Altec Lansing sub woofer. All is good, the monitor plays everything perfect, sound seems okay then i realize that i am actually not hearing everything perfect. For example, intro to call of duty 4, the person who is supposed to talk isn't, can only hear very very quiet whispers. So i try to play a song, i can't really hear the vocals, only the tune. this isn't such a problem, but some of the gunshots are a little distorted etc.

Can anyone remedy my issue? :< Thanks alot.

The game may be trying to output 5.1 channel audio which the speakers may not support. Set the console and game for just stereo audio. The speakers will take care of handling the .1 portion so no low-end will be lost.
