Is Final Fantasy X first part on PS2?
Hi,
I just bought a new PS2. I want to get into the Final Fantasy games. But I am very confused...... What is the first Final Fantasy game for Ps2 that was released? Which Final Fantasy version should I start playing on the Ps2? Is it Final Fantasy X or Final Fantasy IX? Or is it Final Fantasy X-2 ? Thanks |

Final Fantasy X was the first Final Fantasy game for the PlayStation 2 system. Final Fantasy was first released in 1987 on the Nintendo Entertainment system.
I recommend that you actually start with Final Fantasy VI (comes with FInal Fantasy Anthologies for PlayStation 1) and work from there.

LORD NO!
X-2 is the black sheep of the Final Fantasy series. I don't recommend that anyone plays it.

X has a character in X-2, but that's about where the similarities end.
XII is quite different from the other games in regards to battle dynamics. I played for about 30 minutes before I got sick of it and quit.

Indeed it is. Even Square considers Final Fantasy VII to be their masterpiece.
