Re: you have been disconnected

huh, now just to doublecheck:

1) you are ethernet wired into the router; this means you DO have a wired connection straight to your internet source

just doublechecking because I know 360 has issues with any wireless device other than their own network adapter

Assuming you have a direct connection; perhaps you have a dynmaic as opposed to static IP address. I can see this having an issue because if your ip address changes then the xbox must reconnect to xbox live because live would see you as a different computer/connection. Try setting up a static ip adress; i'm not sue how to do it but there are guides all over the internet i myself followed one for p2p programs. You need to know the exact model of your wireless router and need access to the administrative controls of the router as well to set up the static address. And while your doing that open the ports that live uses as well just to be safe and to maximize your connection speed.

That or something else is using up all your bandwidth and you are lagging out due to high ping. something like limewire or a trojan that accesses the internet could be doing it. Please note however that anyone connected wirelessly is NOT taking up your wired bandwidth. So if that is the issue just make sure that the computer wired straight to the internet is turned off to test this theory out although it is a LONGSHOT.

hope that helped somewhat im not the most tech savvy person but console wise im fairly well informed. Good luck buddy
