HI I have a 360 that I am connecting to xbox live through my laptops wired NIC card, and using my wireless NIC on the laptop using ICS to connect my 360 to the internet.I have my wired NIC set up as 192.168.1.99, with the DNS as 192.164.30.64 - ISP assigned. My 360 setup has the ip set as 192.168.1.100, with the gateway as 192.168.1.99, and a dns as 192.168.1.99. Now I can connect to xbox live and what not, but I am having a NAT problem with the 360, when I try and access certain games sometimes, I cannot get it because I cannot acheive an open NAT. I have a linksys WRT54G router, and have tried port forwarding ports:88udp,3074tcp and udp. I have tried portwarding them with the laptops IP, and also with the 360's IP. I have tried placing my laptops IP in the DMZ, and also my 360's. and have tried poth portwarding and DMZ at the same time. I am completly lost as to what is causing this at this point. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Re: 360 ICS through laptop
Is your linksys the hardware that connects you to the internet or is there a modem.
I have done the same thing with my PS3, connected my PS3 to my PC via a cable and then my PC connects to the net Via wireless. What you can do is set all IP addresses to auto so your router assigns the IP. Then go to your network connections select your wireless connection and the connection to the 360 and right click and select "Bridge Networks". The 360 will be router through your PC directly to the router, where the router will assign the 360 an IP. It should work, you may have to mess around with the ports.

Re: 360 ICS through laptop
k well my router connects to my modem. Also, I tried to bridge the connections, but when I did it, it booted me from the wireless connection not allowing me to access the internet at all. I tried doing something similar to this in my 1st attempts to get this working right, but i didnt do too much with it. any ideas?

Re: 360 ICS through laptop
Yeah that could happen, Network Bridge is the best thing to come out from MS but it has its moments.
On the modem you also need to make sure NAT is enabled (By default its disabled) or you could enable DMZ and add your routers IP to the list. Also depending on the modem you may need to change the bridge mode (If it has the settings) Dont use "Full-Bridge" as this turns the modem to a null modem in which your router needs to be configured to use a PPOE connection (Basically your router is also the modem and the modem is just to relay data to ur ISP.) Depending on the Modem to access the GUI it could be along the lines of 10.10.10.1, 192.168.0.1 ect....
