what's going on with my Ps3

I brought ps3 from japan and back to Australia and I use an adeptor to convert the power 220v - 110v but it doesn't work, I turned on swich at the back that i see the red light infront when i press on it become green light but just 1 - 2 second and then go back to red light. Couple month I was try to use the normal electricity power 220 V but it did not work anymore no red light infront no power , and then i send to some one to fix it but they said I used the wrong power it must be 100 v.

And now when i turned on the switch at the back the power in i can see red light infront when i press on its become green light but just 1 - 2 second and then go back to red light again. what should i do Pls help me out I really want to play it.
Thank you

Hi Beeator,

You don't need an adaptor for the PS3's, they can run on Voltages from 110 to 240 on their own.

As for your problem, when you switch it on, after the green light changes to red, does it blink at all? (Turn on and off)

The voltage shouldn't be a problem. Though I can't see what could have been.

Glad to see you sorted it out though.

Re: what's going on with my Ps3

Hi, welcome to TSF.

A blinking red light means the the temperature in the PS3 is too high.

Check the vents to make sure they're clear. Leave the system turned off for a while, then try and turn it back on. If it still doesn't come to life, contact Sony.
