My xbox quit

My xbox froze up and when I restarted it all I got was a blue screen. A friend of mine had the same problem but he never tried to fix it. When I turned it on all that happened was three of the red lights came on and a blue screen. HELP PLEASE

microsoft has had huge problems with the 360......your probably gonna have to send it in to get a new one but i know of a temporary fix......

wrap it up in a towel for about 20 minutes (while powered on) then unwrap, restart, and you're good to play for a few hours

Call the Xbox 360 support team, they send you out a coffin for the 360 for you to post it back to them.

ya you can get their number from the Microsoft website.....ask them to send you a box and when it comes, send your xbox to them

Shipping is free and so is the service as long as the warranty is still good.

it should be, mircosoft extended the warrenty to 3 years for machines that suffer the 3 red lights.

Not to knock you, but I recently checked on my 360's warranty and it said expired. That BS because I've not even had it for 2 years. I want to trade it in for an Elite so I can used the HDMI connectors on my new TV.

Well,
I got a hold of them yesterday and they are sending me a post paid box so I can send it back to them. The guy I talked to said that they were having alot of problems with them and that they would send me a new one. My son was happy as heck.

Mine has started having trouble reading games and most DVD movies. Prior to that it had trouble opening the drive and still does. I'll probably call for a coffin box...

Yeah i believe the extended warranty is only for the 3 red lights, so this is maybe why it say expired. but if you get the red light in the next year, you should be covered.

The only time I got a redlight was when the AV cable was loose. I'm still planning to call about the issues I'm having.

Hello everyone !! I'm new here, Unfortunetly I'm not a computer geek, So I'm very glad that there are sites out there to help people like me with these damn computers and Gaming systems too !!

I'm having the same type problem with my {Original Black} X Box, it comes on with a Blue screen saying Contact Microsoft and the power lite is lit up in RED, (I've been told it's called; "The Red Light Of Death") it won't play any games either. I did call Microsoft, But they want $ 80.00 just to look at it.... (I have no Warranty to use) Am I screwed Or is there anyone out there that can help me or an easy fix ? Thanks for your help !!!
