Slow Xbox live when using our netgear router
We have a WGR614v6 Netgear Wireless Router and it runs horribly slow when my brother connects it to the router. Therefore, he must plug it directly into the cable modem. The problem is, the modem only has one ethernet port on it so no one else can be online when he is
Is our router the problem, or is the Xbox live just too much bandwidth for any router to handle? Should we just get a cable modem with more than one ethernet port? Could the router or modem still handle it if all 5 computers were downloading big files at the same time he was playing? |
