EEK! NES Flashing screen

Hi there

I have just bought an old NES from France. I have also bought a replacement 72 pin connector, which is clean. (this gets some of my games to work!)

2 of my other games i have (which have been cleaned) do not load properly, the screen flashes with only the Game title screen showing, it sort of resets itself. Is this a 'Regional Lockout' as the game i'm trying to play is a UK one?

Please help, if ya can

Kind regards

Re: NES Flashing screen

It likely is. I read up on the regional lockouts and Nintendo got REALLY mean about it. There are ways to defeat the lockout but TSF rules prohibit that discussion. A quick Google search on region lockout protection will help you.

Re: NES Flashing screen

It maybe the voltage differences that are causing the flashing screen, just a stab in the dark
