PS3 Issue - Will not start
Hello all,
First time poster, so I apologise if this issue has already been brought up. So, I was playing a game on my new PS3 console. I paused the game in the in-game menu for approximately 5 minutes. Upon returning to and resuming the game, I noticed that the screen had frozen, however the audio was still working. None of the functions on the Sixaxis Wireless Controller had any affect, so I held the power button down for 10 seconds and shut the system down. When I re-booted the system, it appeared to be starting up as normal, until it paused for a second, then displayed the error message: "Cannot start. The correct hard disk cannot be found." I have tried this process several times since - to no avail - and I am just wondering whether anyone else had a similar problem, and can give me any pointers on how to resolve this issue. Thanks in advance! |

Re: PS3 Issue - Will not start
Hi
![]() I'm afraid the news is bad. That problem is more often then not associated with harddrive failure. Try doing a reformat and should that fail, take it back to the store. It'll have to get replaced. Might also consider calling Sony up to see what they say. This is a known problem on a limited number of the consoles.
