PS2 disc read error someone please help

alright i have bought god of war and its not used so no scratches or anything here is what happened. my sister was playing ddr and i kicked her off so i could play my new game i pulled out the ddr game and stuck god of war in but i did this without restarting my ps2 "i believe this was a mistake" so the ddr thing was still running when i put god of war in and after i put the game in i restarted it. well it didnt work so i went to the browser and it and it said "disc read error" across the front. i have looked at other sites and they say that its the laser but those were jsut random DREs i think this was caused by my not restarting the game. i put ddr back in and it worked so i think its just god of war and i think its because of that whole not restarting thing also whenever i put any game in there is this low clicking sort of noise i dont know what it is but someone please help

Re: PS2 disc read error someone please help

Probably dust build-up. Go get yourself a BLAZE Laser Cleaner disc and see what that does. It happens to everyone eventually, usually by dust.

Re: PS2 disc read error someone please help

It could, and usually the problem is dust. I mean, what else can ruin the system? If you didn't open up the PS2 like a crab and mess around with anything in there, then the only thing that could get in there is dust.

If you so desire, then take God of War back.
