PS3 problem..need help

I just got my ps3 working, its the 80gig one. I was playing a ps2 game on it and it was working fine, then after that decided to put in one of the new ps3 games (Need for speed) prostreet. and an update popped up and sayed i had to update to play witch i did. I just popped the Ps2 game back into the ps3 and now it will not play the ps2 game anymore, How can i fix this so it will play that game again?? Thanks

I'm afraid you can't. The newer updates for ps3 have eliminated the backwards compatibility, so unfortunately, you won't be able to play ps2 games on your ps3 anymore.

I have the 80gig, (Need for speed) prostreet The latest updates and my PS2 games work fine,,,, (not that i have tried them all)

My 60Gb version with the latest updates runs all ps2-games smoothly.

Normally you should be able to play them.

Maybe you need to search for the latest update and then try again to run your ps2 game!
