I've got my ps3 connected with a hdmi cord....from ps3 directly to tv and a optical cord from ps3 to receiver. Once I set the ps3 from hdmi to digital(optical) sound I can't get a picture from the blueray dvd. But I can from a regular dvd and ps3 game. Please help?

Had the same problem, go back to the regular cable onto the PS3. From the set-up chose that the output goes to HDMI and follow the instructions.... |

Re: ps3 blueray problem
HDMI carries both audio and video signals. If you still want to use the optical (also called Toslink) connection you should check the TV itself for an optical output. You can then run that from the TV to the receiver.
