Help with DS/GBA Pokemon please!

Ok, dunno if anyone else has had this problem but I bought Pokemon Pearl for the DS and loved it so then went back to get some of the GBA games. I got FireRed and LeafGreen and they both worked fine and migrated to Pearl fine but then I found a second-hand Sapphire and whenever I tried to migrate Pokemon across to Pearl, it deleted the Sapphire save game. I returened it to the shop that I bought it from, thinking the cartridge was faulty but I've just bought Ruby and it's doing the exact same thing.

If anyone else has had the same problem, or has any suggestions, help would be very much appreciated. Thanks very much.

i am sooooo mad! i have the same prob. except it is with emerald and i am not migrating my pokemon to my plat or pearl, PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP US!!!
I DON'T WANNA BUY ANOTHER

Welcome to TSF, tomhepburn1984.

I suspect that Sapphire and Ruby, being older games, are not compatible with any form of interaction with Pearl, Diamond and Emerald and they engines are most likely different, making the data different, so when you try to migrate your Pokemon, the older game gets corrupt and that causes your deletion of the saved file. The only solution is not to migrate any Pokemon form any game older then FireRed/LeafGreen to any game that was released after those two games.

Actually, Wolfy; you're able to do so. Spending 1000 hours on Pearl/Diamond really makes you know the games, since I basically found out every glitch/hack in the game, and was literally obsessed with it - I'd know, trust me!

OP - You can migrate Ruby/Sapphire to Pearl/Diamond, easily. Just, take a look at the following links, hopefully they'll do you some good and help you :
