PS2 shows ONLY Browser screen!

Hey I have this problem for about a year now and it is the second ps2 I own with the same problem.I trashed the first one but with this I hope I can do something...No matter what disc I put into it,it just won't read it.Instead it will just go back to the browser screen.That's it,nothing else happens.There is no way I can get it to play Anything.I've opened it and yet I haven't found a way to fix it.So is there any ideas?maybe I should do something specific with the laser or there is no hope I should just trash this one to??

The laser might have come loose. Try leaving it upside down overnight and see if it works the next day.
