Wireless Connection Issue

Ok... So heres the story.... I bought a wireless network adapter for my xbox
It works at my dads (he has a linksys) but not my moms (belkin pre-n router)...
At my dads I had to enter a wep and then it worked
At my moms I never tried because when I ask my mom she just asks what the hell that is and looks confused
But on the back of the box for the belkin it says the router provides state-of-the-art wireless security and is super awesome as in stuff like (WPA, SPI, and NAT) whatever that stuff is

Is the problem with the router not being compatible or is it a wep issue..
(what i mean is.. is there some type of wep default I can find in the manual that can be changed later?)

Also when i'm in the connetion screen it comes up and has five bars of connection.. hmm

Re: Wireless Connection Issue

I delt with two belkin routers I returned both and bought a linksys. You can try to go into the routers web based UI and set up a wep and set it on the wireless computers.

Re: Wireless Connection Issue

You'll need to go configure the WEP in the belkin. I don't mess wtih belkin though as I always have issues with them. I always use lynksis or D-Link.
