5.1 Pc Speakers With Xbox 360... Alternatives?!
Hi All.... i don't want to look like a fool and i know i can solve this problem easily buyin a compatible 5.1 Surround system to my 360... 200$ are not so expensive but the issue is i live in egypt and if i ordered it i will pay Shipping + Customes + Taxes about another 200$ which will be too much..
So i am posting this thread to find out the cheapest Alternative available Here is the issue... I Have a creative 5.1 PC surround speakers which work like a charm on DVD's and Games with some decent sound.... But they r not compatible with the 360 since it only Support ( Optical and Coaxial ) digital inputs And Analog (RCA) Well i found out a Logitech Converter Takes in the White and Red Rca's of the 360 And Connect them to the 3 audio ends of the 5.1 but it's not digital sound... All Speakers work at one time... But today on my search over the internet i found out a creative DDTS-100 Decoder which is a magic invention... it's only 130$ and it connects the 360, TV, Computer to the PC 5.1 and gets out surround with no latency.... The issue is this Decoder is sold out and it's discontinued by Creative Labs... So i was seeking your help guys to find out an alternative to this... or even find a used one on any auction site... Cause on ebay.com the guy is putting a start of 220$ as a use of the situation :( I'm also letting u all discuss your suggestions and ur ideas about it... even if there is a sound card suggestion... but not past 150 $ Thanks TSF members for u co-operation |

There are some HTIB (Home Theatre In a Box) systems under the price you're looking for with the necessary inputs, just don't expect much power from them.
