Ps2 in car adapter

Hey, I have one of the old bulky ps2's and i was wondering if they sell any adapters to hook them up in the car. We just got a van with the DVD player in it and we're taking a long car trip.

All I can find is the adapters for the new slim ones.

Even if they dont sell them, can I use a good old power converter or something like that, or will it fry my ps2, or my car? haha

You can use the kind that plugs into the cigarette/12v outlet but you'll want to get a high-end one. The cheapies will blow out in minutes and provide bad power.
