Re: ps3 help
I heard something about PS3 at some point having all backwards compatability removed, mainly for cost procedures, but I don't even know if that's true or been done yet, and I'm assuming you did pay the normal 600. Honestly, no idea what's wrong. You might be one of those unlucky ones.

Re: ps3 help
I had the same problem, but I think it's ok now, here's what I did
1. Download the latest firmware update 2. Eject any disks you have in your ps3 3. Turn off the system using the controller (the PS button in the middle, hold it down for a few seconds and a menu will come up) 4. Once it's 'turned off', insert any ps2 into the slot and the console should come back on and 'suck' the disk in 5. Press and Hold the PS button on the controller and pray for the best. After doing this the first time, every time I've played a PS2 game, it's been ok, BUT, I've just realised I've only tested two games on it (GTASA and GT4)I think the update is essential, d/l that and see how you go (it's a big download, just so you know) Hope this helps |

Re: ps3 help
What I've read is that Sony ONLY included hardware for PS1/PS2 support in the 60GB systems. I heard yesterday that Sony is discontinuing the non-HDD models due to lack of popularity.
eb's opinion: PS3 isn't worth it.
