Ps3 troubles

when i hit the power button on the ps3 it turns green for a second blinks yellow then turns back to red any suggestions

I think you're screwed. Every time I hear about a yellow light it's PS3 death.

Call Sony and see what they say: 1-800-345-4669

It might have a dust infestation, use high pressure air (like a keyboard can of compressed air can) wen th PS3 is off.

if you kept the owners manuel i think i remember reading something about the lights and maby beep configuration. best to call Sony though.
