Xbox to Speakers problem
hi, i'm buying a new set of 5.1 speakers soon cause i burnt out my old ones, hehe and with the old ones i always wanted to hook em up to my xbox and so one day(before i blew em up) i tried that and the only way i could get it to work was to either have the front speakers working or the rear speakers working, or the sub and the centre speaker, so my question to you is, how can i hook my xbox up to my new speakers so that all the speakers and the sub are used, heres a pic of the back of it.
![]() and here is the speakers http://us.creative.com/products/prod...?product=10814 any help will be appreciated, thanks. |

Re: Xbox to Speakers problem
From what I can tell these use a computer style 3.5mm connection rather than the red n' white cables, just buy an adapter at radioshack.
Tell them you want an adapter too hook some male red n' white cables to a female 3.5mm port.

Re: Xbox to Speakers problem
![]() You see the green port? That's where your speakers receive their audio signal. Your problem is you don't have a cable to go to that green port. You have a white (or black) left channel and a red right channel cable, so you need something to convert those two cables in to one 3.5mm cable i.e. that green coated port there (You know the 3.5mm connection as a headphone jack). So you need an adapter that receives the red and white/black cables on one end and projects a 3.5mm jack on the other end. You need something like this (ignore the blue and look at the color coating): ![]() But it could just as well look like this with red and white color coating in the female ports: ![]() So go to your radio shack with your red n' white cables in hand and tell them you need something to hook them to a 3.5mm port. Or you could just buy it online here: http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...entPage=search
