PSP can't read disk error

My son's PSP he received at Christmas suddenly will not read any of the disks he has - games and movies. It takes a long time trying to load and then says "can't read disk". We've tried resetting the defaults, taking out the battery and reinserting and doing full shut-downs and restarts. Nothing has worked. I hope someone can help. We have a cross country flight in two days and he needs his PSP!

I hope you get it sorted befor you go away.

ok make sure you have done the network update.
Use a duster and try and clean the disk, turn it round bit by bit.
Also use you hover or use compressed air and clean when the disk goes.

If all them fail let me know
