xbox 360 saved games

My son accidently deleted a saved game he was working on. The game is Castlevania, it was d/l from the arcade. Is there any way to retrieve this saved game back?

Once you buy something I think you can re-download it for free at any time. Try it out.

If you're talking about an individual save however I don't think you can fix that, I'll check on mine to make sure though.

Yes I am referring to the actual saved game.

I wonder if Microsoft have some form of data recovery tool for the 360? After all, it does use a normal hard drive...
