Re: Restart and Shutdown Freeze
Found the following issues in the system log.
Had an issue with \devices\ACPIEC ... the most accurate fix I could find involves disabling it by altering the DWORD value. It supposedly disables many power-saving functions, but since this computer won't run off battery power, I'm giving it a shot.
These are the other noteworthy issues I located. The Source for all the following is the Services Control Manager:
Event ID: 7026
The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
IKFileSec
SYMTDI
Event ID: 7023
The Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service service terminated with the following error:
An attempt was made to reference a token that does not exist.
Event ID: 7000
The Automatic LiveUpdate Scheduler service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the path specified.
Event ID: 7000
The PCASp50 NDIS Protocol Driver service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.
Event ID: 14329
Service 'WMPNetworkSvc' did not start correctly because the registry could not be updated due to error '0x80070006'. If possible, reinstall Windows Media Player.
