Parallels not recognizing files

Hey all,
I've recently and successfully installed Parallels on my MacBook Pro but files are not being recognized within windows. i.e. .UIF files.

I've not used Windows in years and not happy about using it now but need to get it right.

any ideas?

How is it not recognizing the file? Is it just not opening the file? A Google search shows the a .UIF file is a one of a kind file that can only be opened by one program, and if you don't have that program on your computer, you can't open the file.
