Kernel Error Madness, Please help me save my Macbook!!

Hey there, so I have a black 2008 macbook, throughout most of my user experience with it I haven't had any issues. However in the last year I've noticed a massive decline in the performance of the computer. After a while it started to have these Kernel Error shutdowns, eventually it got to the point where the computer could not even boot up without the kernel error message coming up forcing me to turn off my mac. At this point I took it in to the Mac store, the diagnostic they did showed nothing wrong with the hardware, and seemingly stumped themselves told me it might be due to my memory being at near storage limit. On their advice I erased my entire HD and re-installed macos 10.6. Now a few months later I still get the odd Kernel error, on average one error and forced reboot per 100 minutes of use. Not only that the computer has been performing EXTREMELY slow, to the point where I can't even have multiple windows open, especially if streaming video is involved a crash is almost guaranteed. It's gotten so bad my Iphone is a faster platform then my macbook. From the reading that i've done, programs such as MacKeeper are scams and won't solve my problems. I feel like I'm out of options at this point and if you guys could shed any insight on my circumstance it would be greatly appreciated!

Don't bump. This is a volunteer forum, and we are all busy people with lives offline.

Anywho, I'd blame your RAM. Have you ever upgraded it? If so, put your old RAM back in. If not, look into upgrading the RAM to see if new RAM solves it. The only times I've ever gotten KPs on a Mac where with bad RAM.
