start up

I think I just screwed up my computer. I disable some stuff in my start up and when I rebooted my computer nothing happens. The monitor has a green color and it's all static like when your TV has no reception. How can I reset it back?

Re: start up

Hi there,

Could you be more specific in saying you disabled some stuff in your start up? did you mean within the OS you made the changes?

The problem sounds more of a hardware issues. Therefore, Make sure all wires are plugged in properly. In addition to that, could you tell us more about your system?

Ahmed

Re: start up

Hi all

mlum - here's a quick-fix try =
1) Reboot the PC
2) As the computer is powering on, start tapping the F8 key
3) From the Safe Mode menu, choose "Safe Mode"
4) If you used the System Configuration Utility (msconfig) to disable the troublesome items, go back to the scene of the crime & re-enable them.
5) Reboot normally.

It rather sounds like you've upset your video drivers.

Should this quick-fix not work, we will, like abrar mentions, need more information on your situation.

Best of luck!
