Hey folks. I've got a GameStop brand Xbox 360 wired controller that I used to use on my old XP system.
I built this new PC and am using Windows 7 (64bit) and I tried to use the controller on it- but it won't work, won't even register.
When I plug it in, I get a three-tone beeping sound. Normal usb that is properly detected by the computer gets me the usual 'boo-deep' sound. Plugging this in gets me a 'boo-boo-boo' sort of sound, rapid succession and clearly not working right.
I followed the instructions here (Xbox 360 Wired Controller | Connect to Windows Computer | Xbox Wired Controller), but it doesn't even detect that I have a device plugged in.
Does anybody have some insight?
