WoW at medium graphics, help please

I am thinking of buying one of these laptops (please do not recommend me other choices as I am have a fixed budget - 700 british pounds - and I have to get the laptop from a actual shop, not an online shop - PC World, Comet or Currys, in the UK).

My choices, at the moment are (along with a laptop cooling case):

1. ASUS N55SF 15.6" Laptop - Black at cheap prices | PC World

2. HP Pavilion dv6-6156ea 15.6" Laptop - Steel Grey at cheap prices | PC World

I want to play World of Warcraft at medium graphics, no shadows, at around 60-70 fps. Are these laptops good enough? (I know that the first thing that you may notice is the low resolution of those laptops)

Thank you!

P.S. I am kind of forced to buying a laptop, even if PCs are better for gaming.

I would go with the ASUS between those two. Video card is better in the ASUS.

Just wondering, why are you opposed to an Internet shop?

I'm sure that Ebuyer might have a better laptop for £700 and you get the same warranty + free delivery.

Also, try expanding your search from just PC stores. Places like Argos sometimes do good deals. Look mainly at the Graphics card and the CPU (also the RAM and Hard Drive but they are less important I'd say).

Use Notebook Check which I find a brilliant site to find out how good the laptops graphics card is since it shows what sort of FPS the game is going to run at.

Re: WoW at medium graphics, help please

if and only IF you want to choose between those two:

Asus: Better graphics and a bit better CPU Power

HP: Larger hard disk with 250 GB more

now if you want to game go with the ASUS

ASUS for the better graphics and much better brand. You'll find ASUS laptops come with less bloatware and have a sleeker, more functional design. ASUS customer service is also amazing.
