you should be able to play all games on high settings (BF3) and some on ultra (Skyrim)

I'll give a 7.5/10
Thanks guys, I really tried hard to make this a good desktop pc. I've read people hate the psu I got, but it seems to work just fine. And the video card people seem to hate to but it works fine too. I might get a GTX 600 but will the 3.0 work on a 2.0 board ?

Here's what I'd buy from newegg. the GTX 550Ti came from a local bestbuy store.

Newegg.com - EVGA 02G-P4-2680-KR GeForce GTX 680 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

or

I'll probably save back for this being its 2.0 Newegg.com - EVGA 015-P3-1580-AR GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) 1536MB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

Yeah just seen that GTX 680 needs a 550W psu, that's a powerhouse in a gpu.

What about that GTX 580 I cant seem to find how many watts it needs on newegg...

I have the EVGA GTX 550Ti 1 GB FPB (free performance boost)

it's an amazing card with a great price

it's pretty close to the GTX 260's performance and needs less power

the GTX 680 is not needed now, only if you want to play in 3D and on more than a monitor.

the good thing about the 680 is that it's power efficient more than the GTX 500 series so if a 700 W PSU is needed for the GTX 580, a 600 W is enough for the GTX 680

I never would go with an AMD CPU for gaming, not saying that AMD is bad, but that's me.
If I want to get a new CPU, I'll go with an intel Core i5

yeah it started a bit with the GT 400 series and continued to be better with the GT 500 and now the GTX 680

eg: the GTX 550Ti and the GTX 260

GTX 550 needs a 500 W Power Supply
GTX 260 needs a 650 W Power Supply

those cards performs pretty close to each other, the GTX 260 could beat the 550 with some games at higher resolutions

I'll probably buy a 650W or 700W PSU very, very soon. Just stress tested my my CPU and its awesome.

It gets kinda hot like 45C to 50C under a large load, but once the large load is over it sets at like 7C which is amazing... I couldn't wait for new egg to ship the paste that I wanted so I went to best buy and got some. Seems to work just fine.

Well, I just found how DYNEX Silver Thermal Compound Is a product NOBODY SHOULD EVER BUY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It just fried my motherboard and cpu, I didn't want to wait 7 days for newegg to ship the other. So I went to bestbuy and got this and man did it screw my computer up. Now I have to buy another mobo and cpu. I don't want the same one though. I'm so upset I just put a tiny pea on the center of the cpu and it was such trash Thermal Compound it ran all over the place made my cpu stuck in the socket and the works. I'm about ready to file a lawsuit on Dynex.

I got 91% Isopropyl Alcohol First aid antiseptic....

I still can't get the cpu loose. Its Toast.

I'm looking for a new mobo and cpu as/ we speak. I just made a thread, I found a small Intel board that looks kind of like mind. My mobo is tiny I know that. I just need to replace this board and cpu.

The Compound is under the CPU its caked into it. I tried my hardest to clean it with a q-tip and Isopropyl but no luck as of, so far.
