I play CoD (Call of Duty) Multiplayer and have been for over a year. I had no problems with it at all until recently I got the message ur cd-key is in use. Sometimes it would work and others times it wouldn't. I knew that somebody was obviously using my cd-key and I dont know how. So I decided to uninstall it and use my dads CoD cd-key as he never plays it. Everything went fine un-installing it but when i reinstalled it, it would either get half way of the installation and freeze, or 99% done and then freeze. I tried this 4 times and I got the same problem every time (The disc is clean and free from scratches) I asked my friend about it and he said he had the same problem once but managed to install it in the end . Anyway after 4 attempts of trying to reinstall it I gave up and decided that I'll have to settle with the cd-key I already had. Me being a computer newb decided to do a system restore to the day before so I could get back all my cod settings. I did this and when I tried to play CoD it said "166 sound files are missing or in a bad format" So i was like :upset: . So at this point I was confused in what to do and in the end I thought my only option was to uninstall it again. I went to Add/Remove programs clicked remove and it wouldn't let me uninstall it. I cant remember what the message was, but me again being a computer newb I just pressed ok and ok again. This deleted CoD from the Add/Remove Programs list. :sayno: So then I went into program files and deleted the entire folder. Put the CoD disc back in and hoping it would let me re-install it but it didnt give me the option. It only gave me an option to uninstall, but when I click it nothing happens at all. I asked my friend and he said the only way to re-install cod again, was to re-install windows XP, but I really dont want to be doing that.
My main question is, is there another way of completely getting rid of cod off my computer without using Add/Remove programs because its not on the list?
Im sorry if this sounds confusing
