a few questions

1. What's Linux? I've read this name in reference to video games.
2. What's the deal with PC games? Do you just go online and purchase them like buying anything else? Do they run on every computer or do you have to have some super-powered "gamer" computer to run things like World of Warcraft?
3. What are "game codes" like for Play Station?
4. Can someone correctly explain what hashtag means? First of all it's a number sign, so who made up the stupid hashtag word? secondly when you look it up its explained as that when you put that symbol in front of something it takes people to a site. But wouldn't that be a site with all kinds of junk all mixed up? How are things sorted and organized? Also, is that just a twitter thing?
5. Since everyone is using inferior cell phone technology to make videos rather than the superior hd camcorder, where are these people storing their videos and for that matter pictures they take with their iphones? Just uploading everything to cloud storage?

Why has technology gotten really annoying in the last 5 years? Too complicated. How are people supposed to negotiate thousands of sites, apps and multiple linked devices and systems? Are most people just hypnotized and in a daze? Serious question.

1.https://www.linux.com/what-is-linux

2. You may purchase them on disk in brick and mortar type stores. Or online and download them. Each game will have a listed set of minimum requirements. Use that to guage whether or not your PC will run the game and how well.

3. Usually a short alpha-numeric which, when entered into certain sites will allow you to download the game for free. Often comes as a purchase incentive with new hardware.

4. Actually a good name for it. Been commonly known as 'hash' or 'hash mark' for years. Also 'pound' and 'octothorpe'. And 'tag' is another word for label. There is junk on nearly every site you visit.

5. Most come with at least several hundred MB of storage and accept multi GB memory cards which are widely available. Simple enough to transfer data to your PC or upload it to the cloud.

Here is the Wikipedia definition:

A hashtag is a type of label or metadata tag used on social network and microblogging services which makes it easier for users to find messages with a specific theme or content. Users create and use hashtags by placing the hash character (or pound sign) # (also known as number sign or octothorpe) in front of a word or unspaced phrase, either in the main text of a message or at the end. Searching for that hashtag will yield each message that has been tagged with it. A hashtag archive is consequently collected into a single stream under the same hashtag.[1]

What it doesn't explain is if I were to create a hashtag (how do you do that by the way?), say, #clown, what would clicking on it do specifically? Would it take you to Twitter to a string of a million references with the word "clown" in them? Wouldn't it just get lost? I assumed it would work like a link that takes you to a specific website that the person who made the # would want you to go to.

Regarding phones and storage, what do these people actually do to store their images and video? Do they take out a memory card and stick it in a port in their laptop? And aren't their phone videos inferior to camcorders?

They could do that. Or they could transfer the data directly via USB or Wifi. As far as quality goes, many smartphones today will deliver 4K resolution.

#clown
Delivers a twitter page listing several posts all having the tag #clown

Google is your friend.
