Hello.

is there a way to remove multiple hyperlinks from a word document?
i know that i can highlight each link individually, hold apple, shift K and then press remove.

but can I remove them all from one document in one go?

i have joined this forum today specifically to see if i can get this question answered.

i found this on another forum, but it looks like it will help your issue.

you will need to create a macro, which can be found under tools. Name the macro whatever you would like and then fill in the below info for the macro.

Sub UnlinkHyperlinks()
Dim oField As Field
For Each oField In ActiveDocument.Fields
If oField.Type = wdFieldHyperlink Then
oField.Unlink
End If
Next
Set oField = Nothing
End Sub

Once the information has been filled save the macro and use the above macro to clear out the hyperlinks. I hope it helps.

Hi angela,

If you select a range of text that has no cross-references or other Word fields in it, then pressing Ctrl-Shift-F9 will convert all the hyperlinks in that range to plain text. It does the same to other Word fields in the range too, so be careful. Using Ctrl-A before the Ctrl-Shift-F9 selects the whole document. Other than that, you can use a macro like that posted by mussels, or:
Code:
Sub UnlinkHyperlinks()
Dim hLink As Hyperlink
For Each hLink In ActiveDocument.Hyperlinks
  hLink.Range.Fields(1).Unlink
Next
End Sub
