Hi

I am having a problem I never had before. some embedded vids are not showing up. I tried updating flash and that did not help. I will post a pic of the little symbol that shows up. Some videos work in various news pages and youtube seems to be ok. Not sure what is missing.

even some pages will have older pages/posts with vids that work and the newest one(s) dont.

any thoughts?

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Go Here and download the Flash uninstaller.

Please go to the links below to update the following:

Flash
Shockwave

Then Go Here to find what version of Java you are running, and please post back the results.

here was the actual link to the page where the vid was not working

Shaq suffers calf injury after only 5 minutes - NBA - Yahoo! Sports

I will try the uninstaller again but have to close pages so I posted that. lets see if it works. I have tried that earlier but I will try again.

I tried uninstalling flash but I think it is being weird. It is not letting me do it completely. NOt sure why. I will keep trying. I am also installing divx to try that. What is strange is it has an error on a page, but some videos work. Like a page with 3 embedded youtube videos and just 1 doesnt work. very strange. thanks for the suggestions so far

Try this:

Reset Internet Explorer Settings - IEBlog - Site Home - MSDN Blogs

Then try and install Shockwave again.

You can uninstall it by using the uninstall tool:
