I am currently using IE8 with Win 7 64 bit but this laptop started out with Windows Vista and IE7. I have gone into IE8 and done the Internet Options and delete to eliminate the browsing history and the temporaray internet files. After doing that I see that I still have several folders under "c:\users\neil\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Low\Content.IE5" Between these multiple folders under that are about 80,000 files.
Yes, Ichecked out your links but I had previously used Total Commander to delete all of the temporaray files & folders under "Temporary Internet Files"
Yes, I have deleted all the files and for now everything is fine. I just wanted to know why I had all these files and they were not deleted so that it won't happen again.
They could have been from multiple things. The possible possible one would be, They might not of been deleted as when Windows updates it keep some of the downloaded files in the same place as IE temp files.
They were safe to get rid of though.
