Unable to open Internet Explorer
I am running Windows XP.
I use Firefox as my default browser 99.9% of the time, However, there is a rare need to open IE. For about 2 weeks now I have tried to open IE. A page will open up that has 1 row across the top. It consists of the IE URL and a search engine. The link in the URL is to some MSN page. Before the page completes loading it will just disappear and I am left with only my desk top.

Thanks for the forum help. Not only am I unable to open IE but the second option mentioned is to open "Internet Options" in the Control Panel. I am unable to get that to open also.
Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Nothing happens. I double click on the icon and there is no action at all.

On the "do this" link, because internet explorer will not open, I can not see the fix. Please just put the steps in here so I can see how to do it.
