I use igoogle in ie8 as my homepage. I use XP pro. in the shop, and Vista Home premium at home. Both have igoogle as home page. Both were trouble free till recently when the vista machine started changing the home page to either msn or bing. If I'm using explorer on and off all day, no problem. If I leave for a while either msn or bing will replace igoogle. I do NOT have an infection, I have scanned both machines thoroughly and they are clean. Any suggestions would be appreciated. gtwyuser
If your preferred search engine has been changed to Bing, reselect Google and again select igoogle as your Home Page. All the "infection" connected to this problem redirect you to harmful sites which isn't happening to you, but it's worth running Ad-Aware anyway.
To Corday, from gtwyuser-I followed your suggestion when I saw your post and I thought, this is way to easy. Well, it's working! It's been a few hours and I just checked and all is well. Thank you for the easy, non mind bending fix. Appreciated gtwyuser
