Hi,
I'm having trouble with IE 11 freezing up on me. I've tried the common fixes with no results. I've also deleted all that is Java with some success, but still freezes, but not as often. Can anyone help?

Chris

Does it just randomly freeze up?

Yes. It will happen trying to open a link or if it is idle for a minute or whenever.

If its random, I have the same issue. I believe its a bug in IE.

The more tabs open the more of a chance IE will crash.

Honestly I haven't found anything.

I would expect an update this Tuesday for a fix on IE 11.

I'll look.

Sometimes a IE Reset can also fix freezing problems. May want to try that.

I'll wait to see if there is a patch. If not, I'll try to reset IE

Thanks

Have you updated your Win7 to SP1? That will keep IE11 from running.

Cheers!

I got the update from Tuesday and did a complete reset of IE and things are much smoother now. See if doing the same helps.

Open up Notepad => Click on Format => Make sure Word wrap does Not have a tick next too. If it does just click it to turn of Word Wrap. Close notepad.
  • Click Here to download ToolbarCop. Save it to your desktop.
  • Go to your desktop and extract toolbarcop.zip.
  • Go to the extracted files
  • Double click on Toolbarcop.exe
  • Click on the notepad symbol:
  • A notepad file should pop up, please copy and paste Everything from the notepad file and paste it back into this thread.

Masterchiefxx17,
Sometimes the simple things work the best. I have reset my IE 11 and it works much better.

yea, I was going to say most likely some add-on is probably causing some compatibility issue. Resetting IE should disable any junk like that.
