Hi,

My internet keeps either a)freezing or b)stops responding. I have uninstalled my flash player and reinstalled but that does not solve the problem. The microsoft website says my flash player is not upto date even though I have downloaded the most recent from the adobe website.

Any ideas will be very much appreciated.

Try this:

http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2006/06/12/628499.aspx

If that fails:
  • Click Here to download ToolbarCop. Save it to your desktop.
  • Go to your desktop and extract toolbarcop.zip.
  • Go to the extracted files
  • Double click on Toolbarcop.exe
  • Click on the notepad symbol:
  • A notepad file should pop up, please copy and paste Everything from the notepad file and paste it back into this thread.

First thing first.

You need update your service pack to SP3, so that your computer has all the latest updates:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322389

Do you have any antivirus installed? If not it is very dangerous not to have one installed.

Click Here for a great article which covers the different areas of what you need to protect your computer.

My System

You seem to have a lot of different toolbars installed.
I have found that when this is the case, they will walk all over each other while trying to gain priority.

In Internet Explorer go to tools|manage add ons and turn them all off and see if it is better.
Is so in order of importance, turn them on one at a time and with luck you will find one that is causing an issue and it can be gotten rid of.

Open up Toolbar cop again, find the following entries:

Toolbar: (Empty) - {21FA44EF-376D-4D53-9B0F-8A89D3229068} - (empty) - Enabled - Current User

Toolbar: (Empty) - {0BF43445-2F28-4351-9252-17FE6E806AA0} - (empty) - Enabled - All Users

BHO: (Empty) - {02478D38-C3F9-4EFB-9B51-7695ECA05670} - (empty) - Enabled - All Users

Right click on each of the above and click Delete, then click Yes when prompted.

Sorry about the XP, I swear I saw somewhere saying you had XP.
